It seems to me that art sometimes goes round in circles. A way of working that had become tired and formulaic can suddenly feel fresh again after being away from it and trying new things.

Having spent quite awhile making digital images and playing around with different ways of working, putting old fashioned brushes to old fashioned canvas has felt like coming home!

Thanks to everyone who took the time to look at my work.

I was recently approached by a gallery in Glasgow who wanted some of my pictures for a group show and The Edinburgh Art Fair, so after a long, exhausting trip to Scotland I finally delivered 15 pictures!
It was good to meet the gallery owner in person and seeing the place for myself was definitely worth the effort as it had a great feel to it, and some amazing art.
The "Masquerade" series of paintings and studies will be on show, "Beauty in Profile" and the "Model at Rest 1-3" canvases.

I've just been awarded a DD for "Study of an Angel". I'd never even heard of one before so it's been quite a surprise! I'm swamped with messages so I'll try and get around to thanking everyone who's faved the work!

I've not had nearly enough time for updating and submitting recently. Hope to do some new stuff soon!

Sometimes it's easy to forget how personal approaches to art change over time. I've been going through some drawings I did years ago and given them the photoshop treatment. I always meant for them to be part of a story I never got around to finishing. It's been like meeting up with old friends!
